Horse Paperwork

Every horse and at the Center is required to have up-to-date paperwork turned in at the time of the horse's arrival. 

  • Coggins - all in-state and out-of-state horses.

  • 5-way vaccination ( EHV-1, Eastern Encephalitis, Western Encephalitis, Tetanus Toxoid, Influenza, Rhinopneumonitis - West Nile suggested)

  • Strangles vaccination (if horse is 5 years old or younger - intranasal is recommended)

    • It is recommended that it be given by a licensed veterinarian. If the horse had strangles in it's past, do not give vaccination. 

  • Health Certificate - required if coming from out-of-state, within 30 days of arrival

  • Brand Inspection Papers - only required for horses traveling from outside of Beaverhead County. Horses traveling from nonbrand states should confirm state laws before traveling or can get a brand inspection upon arrival. 

  • Releases signed and initialed for MCH, UMW Horsemanship Program, Acknowledgement of Risk, and MCH Policy.
