Montana Center for Horsemanship is located in beautiful Dillon, Montana.
Beaverhead county is the largest county in Montana, lying on the Northwest shoulder of Yellowstone National Park. The county, with over 3.5 million acres, is the largest livestock county in Montana and includes some of the largest ranches in the state including the 340,000 acre Matador Ranch. Beaverhead county also contains over 3.5 million acres (59%) public land.
Dillon lies 115 miles south of Bozeman and 145 miles north of Idaho Falls. It has a public airport jetport just outside of town and a large major hospital. It is home to countless businesses including YMCA, the Patagonia outlet, Beaverhead Brewery, and lots of restaurants, bars, and specialty stores.
The Beaverhead river flows through town and the nearby Ruby, Big Hole, and Red Rock rivers form a mecca for fly fishing.
There is downhill skiing just 40 miles from Dillon at Maverick Mountain. The town is also 20 miles from the large Clark Canyon Reservoir.
Dillon is also home to "Montana's Biggest Weekend", the large PRCA rodeo and Labor Day celebration.
